Training on the New Funding Arrangement Policy - Region 5

The National College for Educational Leadership has been established to ensure that school administrators are provided with the relevant support so as to enable them to operate effectively in an increasingly difficult environment. To achieve its mandate, the College facilitates the on-going professional development for school administrators via capacity building interventions/programmes geared at equipping educational leaders with the requisite skills, knowledge and competencies to lead their institutions. 

In keeping with the strategic priorities of the College to translate policy into tangible training solutions, the College will be hosting a series of training for Principals on the policy with respect to the New Funding Arrangements for Primary and Secondary Schools. The training will take place on a regional basis and will span the period January through March 2018. 

The workshop will examine areas such as Administration of Public Funds, Principles of Government Accounting, Budget Preparation and Monitoring, Financial Reporting and Payroll Management. In order to ensure the highest standards in logistical arrangements, we ask that if you have not yet confirmed your attendance that you do so on or before Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at [ncel@moey.gov.jm] for us to finalize our preparations. It is mandatory that you confirm your attendance electronically as failure to do so will result in no provisions being made for you. In confirming your attendance please include the following:

  2. The name of your school
  3. The region.
