Pastor Wesley Boynes

Wesley Boynes is a man driven by the desire to see people’s potential being fully realized, being driven by the creation of systems geared at helping persons to see their sense of worth and become fully functional in that regard.

The current President of the Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association (JISA); founder and chairman of Northgate High School (NHS), Mr. Boynes has been consistently involved in strategic planning, human resource management and deployment, project management, communications management and strategic collaboration with various individuals and organizations throughout Jamaica.

Wesley Boynes has, over the years, selflessly served the Jamaican community in various capacities; including:


  • President - Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association (JISA);
  • Founding Chairman - Northgate Youth and Family Development Foundation, The Northgate Parenting Empowerment Place (N-PEP) and Founder and Chairman/Northgate High School;
  • Former Chairman, the Mar-Jam Preparatory School, Ocho Rios, St. Ann and Current Director of Genesis Academy and Skills Training Centre;
  • Former Board Member of Landmark Academy and Teen Challenge Jamaica;
  • Volunteer with the Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections (CAFFE)
  • Member of the Independent Schools’ Committee ; and
  • Member of the Board of Commissioners for the Overseas Examination Commission.

A graduate of the Northeastern College in Trinidad & Tobago, Wesley Boynes holds a Master’s Degree in Divinity and a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry from the Central Christian University in Arkansas. He is a Certified Behavioral Therapist with the Family Therapy Institute of the USA. He is also a musician.

Wesley Boynes is very committed to the Jamaican cause and has a vision to see a strong Jamaican nation emerge and take its place as a leader in the world of human developments. He is married to Angella Boynes of Kingston, Jamaica. They have three children; Rinnah and twins Jabulani and Jodi-Lani.
