Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
A reputable force within the Quality Assurance Division at the National College for Educational Leadership (NCEL), Devaughn Thomas serves as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. In this office, he holds special responsibility for evaluating the college’s programmes to ensure compliance with the Quality Standards of the institution.
Mr. Thomas is an aspiring educational planner and policymaker with a cumulative seven (7) years of experience in the education system. Prior to him joining the team at NCEL, he served as an Early Childhood Development Officer (ECDO), where he had supervision over 60 Early Childhood Institutions (ECIs) in Kingston and St. Andrew. In this capacity, Mr. Thomas assisted several ECIs in attaining and maintaining certification under the Early Childhood Act and Regulations, 2005.
Mr. Thomas is an alum of the University of Technology (<please confirm) where he earned a Bachelor of Education, Business Studies degree (Hons.), and a Master of Education Planning and Policy (please state institution from which you earned your master’s). In addition, Mr. Thomas is a trained ISO Internal Auditor in Quality Management Systems.
