Who can pursue leadership training with NCEL?

All educational leaders (senior teachers, principals, vice principals, deans of discipline, guidance counsellors, education officers, etc.) may pursue training from the suite of programmes and courses.

What is the cost to pursue NCEL courses/programmes?

All courses and programmes, except for the Aspiring Principals’ Programme, are free of cost to all school leaders.

What is the cost if I need NCEL to design and facilitate a professional development/capacity building interface?

There is no cost attached to this support by the NCEL.

Who can pursue the Effective Principals’ Training Programme (EPTP)?

The EPTP is reserved for sitting principals who are provisionally or permanently appointed by the Teachers Services Commission.

What are the minimum requirements to pursue the Aspiring Principals’ Programme?

 Educators need to have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, three years of teaching experience, registration with the Jamaica Teaching Council and be teacher trained.

Who are the certifying bodies for the NCEL courses and programmes?
