Welcome to the Division of Programmes (DOP). The DOP is led by the Senior Director of Programmes who is supported by programmes officers, administrators and records and documentation officers.
The DOP serves as the engine of the NCEL which is responsible for the conceptualisation, design and implementation of training programmes, courses, learning solutions and capacity building engagements for educational leaders.
In the DOP, we endeavour to design learning products and solutions that provide optimal learning opportunities for our participants to develop and hone both leadership and management competencies and dispositions, while expanding their knowledge of best practices that are contextually relevant, fit for purpose and aligned with holistic development.
Our training programmes are embedded in a 70-20-10 model which emphasises that 70% of an individual’s development is derived through job-related experiences, 20% derived from informal learning (coaching and mentoring) and 10% is derived from formal learning (courses and workshops).
All training programmes and solutions are designed to meet the specific needs of our educational leaders who range from neophyte to expert level leaders. Over the years, we have been satisfying the local needs while providing support and training to neighbouring Caribbean islands such as the Turks and Caicos Islands and the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla.
We look forward to making your leadership journey one that is filled with impact, insights and inspiration.
