 As part of efforts to provide supportive continuous learning opportunities for educational leaders, the Church Teachers' College and the Caribbean Union of Teachers will be hosting a webinar on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. The featured presenters of this professional development engagement are Dr. Taneisha Ingleton, our Director/Principal; Dr. Cheryl McLaughlin, our Director of Programmes and Mr. Raymon Treasure, Principal of the York Castle High. Themed, "Educational Leadership Post Covid-19: Opportunities and Pitfalls, the webinar will:

  • examine the new trajectory of educational leadership as it relates to managing effectively remotely
  • examine and highlight the strategies that educational leaders/school principals have been utilizing to navigate the “new normal"
  • profile the emerging capabilities and behavioural competencies of educational leaders
  • understand the importance of personal well-being to be an effective leader in crisis
  • explore how to support teachers and other members of staff as they reintegrate in a stressful and emotionally charged school environment
  • support a comprehensive leadership development process for sustainability
