Programmes Officer

An avid believer in the “each one, teach one” philosophy, Jamie considers it to be the duty of those with knowledge, to share that knowledge for the betterment of human kind, in whatsoever ways possible. A consideration he takes with him every day, as he approaches his duties as Programmes Officer with the National College for Educational Leadership.

A graduate of the University of the West Indies Mona and St. Augustine Campuses, Mr. Russell holds a BA in Geography and a MSc in Urban and Regional Planning. His areas of specialization include policy research, programme development, project management and programme monitoring & evaluation. Mr. Russell takes with him a wealth local and international leadership expertise, having worked as project lead in numerous cross-functional teams on projects implemented by the FAO, World Bank, International Olympic Committee and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. One of his life’s goals is to be a critical contributor to the long term sustainable national development objectives of Jamaica, in seeking to attain the precepts of Vision 2030. Thus ensuring that Jamaica is indeed “the place of choice to live, work, raise families, and do business.”
